On Wednesday, November 7th, Richie Hawtin was handed the Key to Windsor by Mayor Eddie Francis in his Hometown, during a stop in line with the CNTRL Tour.

In front of a techno crowd and the Hawtin family, Francis stated:

“His successes are significant. He’s the best at what he does worldwide. Being the best at what he does, he has been able to position the City of Windsor well. He has been a successful ambassador to the city. And he continues to inspire a younger generation.”

Along with Richie Hawtin, others who have received the Key to the City are:
Bill Clinton,Jimmy Carter, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville, race car icon Roger Penske and Prince Michael of Kent.
